The bike fits riders from 155 to 190 cm and has a maximum load capacity of 120 kg. Its low weight and compact size make it an excellent commuter e-bike for everyday use.

Motor and riding experience

The bike is equipped with a 250W 36V rear hub motor, which is EU legal. The motor delivers up to 40 Nm of torque and provides stable assistance for city riding, bike paths, and daily commutes.

The torque sensor makes motor assistance more natural because the assistance adapts to how hard you pedal. This provides a smoother and more comfortable riding experience than simple cadence sensors.

With 3 assist levels, you can choose between maximum range, balanced assistance, or more motor assistance depending on your ride.

Battery and range

The ENGWE Zip has a 36V 10Ah battery with 360Wh capacity. The battery uses LG cells and has BMS protection, which helps protect the battery during use and charging.

The realistic range is up to 120 km at PAS 1, up to 85 km at PAS 2, and up to 60 km at PAS 3.

The battery supports PD 3.0 and USB-C charging, and the bike comes with a 100W GaN fast charger with a USB-C interface. The range depends, among other things, on rider weight, temperature, tire pressure, terrain, wind conditions, and selected assist level.

Comfort and control

The ENGWE Zip is built for practical everyday riding with 16 x 1.95 urban hybrid tires, a comfortable padded saddle, and a suspended seat post with 10 adjustment levels. This provides a more comfortable riding experience, even though the bike is compact.

The 560 mm wide handlebars and foldable stem provide good control, while the quick-release seat clamp and quick-release pedals make the bike easier to adjust and fold.

Safety and lights

The ENGWE Zip is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes and 160 mm brake rotors front and rear. This provides efficient and controlled braking power for everyday use.

The headlight is a 30 lux StVZO compliant headlight, designed for safe road riding. The taillight is always on and StVZO compliant, ensuring better visibility in traffic.
